A very VESTA Christmas at Kingston Lacy

For the third year in a row VESTA have returned to Christmas at Kingston Lacy, installing a number of artists’ installations across the site for Culture Creative.

VESTA supplied on site power and BS7909 testing for the event along with all of the site infrastructure, rigging and staffing. The team started on site at the beginning of November, under the supervision of VESTA’s Simon Audoire acting as Production Manager for Culture Creative, installing all of the initial power and infrastructure around site. One of the initial builds for this site, is the 80ft bridge and viewing platform linking the access for plant and attendees between a forest walk and the main lawns.

Once all of the infrastructure is installed we begin working on the installations across the site; this year the site featured a Cathedral of Light, Love Hearts, Carol of the Bells, Geo Forest, Laser Garden and Meadow of Light. Many days goes into each installation ensuring it is built correctly and tested so to withstand the cold and weather that the winter months bring.

This project, which commenced in November and completed in January 2023 encompassed a substantial timeframe of 12 weeks. Throughout the entirety of the endeavor, our dedicated teams were committed to working on site, ensuring that they were present for the duration of the build, as well as during the daily show operations and eventual break down of the site. Their unwavering presence and diligent efforts contributed to the seamless execution and success of the project.
