VESTA Supplies Southampton International Boat Show 2023

Returning to the site in heart of Southampton, and its strong maritime heritage, we supplied this years edition of the Southampton International Boat Show 2023.

In addition to the emergency evacuation system that we proudly provide to the show, ensuring the safety and peace of mind for all attendees, the team at VESTA Production extend our expertise as the official on-site AV & Production supplier for the event.

This year we supplied a number of stages and systems around the system, including live music and conference areas, along with a number of activation support around the site. Our highly dedicated teams worked incredibly closely and collaboratively with the event organisers to meticulously deliver a captivating experience for the attendees.

On all of the stages site wide we deployed our d&b audiotehnik systems for sound reinforcement, with a number of multipurpose venues across the event this was the ideal system for clarity, its flexibility of system design and ease of rigging. The Foredeck seminar stage featured Y7P and E6 powered by D20 amplifiers, The Shipyard band stage consisted of V7P, V-SUB and M4 monitors driven from a mixture of D20 & D80 Amplifiers. As well as these other stage such as the On the Water stage, Quayside Club and Bottle Stage consisted YP and further E-Series.

This system deployment was not only seamlessly integrated with the sitewide network distribution but also incorporated advanced features such as Dante, which enabled remote monitoring, control, and file management for the conference stage. The convenience of overseeing these operations from the site office provided utmost efficiency and allowed for the completion of numerous daily tasks from a centralized location. The inclusion of sitewide RF monitoring was particularly beneficial, ensuring uninterrupted communication and seamless content loading for the conference stage, right from the start of each day. This robust integration undoubtedly enhanced the overall productivity and effectiveness of the system deployment.

VESTA’s project manager, Simon Audoire, said “This project takes around 6 months every year, from initial ideas and concepts through to on site delivery of the event. We spend approximately 30 days on site, with 14 of these being the build period, 12 live show days (one of the longest shows of the year) and the remainder being the break down period.” “I am always very proud of our site team as we have to overcome numerous challenges working alongside close to 100 contractors, with everyone working together to achieve one goal whilst working on pontoons and out in the elements for the duration.”
